Released last Summer, the Vivo X60 Pro is the middle child of this X60 lineup. Vivo has rolled out their X60 lineup with 3 models, The X60, X60 Pro, and the beefy X60 Pro Plus which match the prices with the Oneplus 9R, the Oneplus 9, and the Oneplus 9 Pro. With a 120Hz 6.56-inch AMOLED display, 4200 mAh battery, flagship Snapdragon 870, 48 MP Zeiss Sensor, 33 Watt Flash Charger, and weighing just 177 grams, it is very capable of handling all your needs.
Vivo X60 Pro Processor
The X60 Pro ships with a Snapdragon 870 chip, which is an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 865+. The performance is not bad, but you can get a better processor with the Oneplus 9 which has Snapdragon 888 just like the X60 Pro Plus which ships which also ships the high-end Snapdragon 888. The device is set to Smart Switch by default which helps the device switch from 60 Hz and 120 Hz based on the battery life and apps supporting it. The X60 Pro comes in one variant, 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 ROM, The 3GB virtual ram, standard for all the models, is a nice feature and can give the X60 Pro some boost of RAM when required.
Vivo X60 Pro Battery
The 4200 mAh battery is the same on all the models. It lasts for about 15 hours with 120Hz which is not bad for this battery and will last longer if you cloak the refresh rate to 60Hz. The 33 Watt Flash Charger can charge from 0% to 53% in 30 minutes and 0% to 100% within an hour. But in the Pro Plus variant, you will get a 55 Watt Flash Charger, unlike the X60 Pro which has a 33 Watt Flash Charger.
Vivo X60 Pro Display
The Vivo X60 Pro comes with a 6.56-inch FHD curved AMOLED display and also supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display is also protected with Schott Xensation Up glass. The In-Display Fingerprint sensor is fast and you can unlock your phone with no problem.
Vivo X60 Pro Camera
Vivo has stepped up their game and partnered up with German Optics, Zeiss, to manufacture the best camera phone. Just like the X60 Pro Plus, it has a Zeiss T* Coating to reduce glares and give crisp images. They are a total of 4 cameras, 3 on the back and 1 on the front. The 48 MP Primary shooter with a Sony IMX598 sensor (f/1.5), a 13 MP Ultra Wide Camera with a Samsung S5K3L6 sensor (f/2.2) with autofocus, and a 13 MP Portrait Camera with a Samsung S5K3L6 sensor (f/2.46) with a 2x field of view. The Primary sensor is equipped with a Gimball 2.0 Stabilization which gives the exact quality as the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The 32 MP Selfie camera is equipped with a Samsung S5KGD1 sensor (f/2.45) and shoots sharp photos.
Verdict
- 120 Hz AMOLED Display.
- Sturdy Build Quality.
- First Grade Cameras.
- Gimball Stabilization is the ultimate experience.
- Funtouch OS is not the best intuitive software and has a lot of bloatware.
- Neither Wireless Charging nor IP Rating is present.
